On Tuesday April 2nd, 2017, the Thompson Rural RCMP responded to a fire at the Northern Store in Brochet, Manitoba. It was learned that between Monday April 1st, 2017 and Tuesday April 2nd, 2017, two separate fires were intentionally set at the Northern Store. The second fire resulted in the total loss of the building. The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner is investigating.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Thompson Rural RCMP Detachment at (204) 677-6909 or submit a tip.
