On August 12, 2014, Cranberry Portage RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to the Public Works garage in the community of Sherridon, Manitoba. The investigation revealed that sometime overnight three large heavy spools of copper wire being stored in the building by Manitoba Hydro were stolen, as well as a quantity of gasoline.
