Just before 5:30 a.m. the morning of May 8th, 2012, a 911 call was made from a Gilbert Plains, Manitoba residence indicating a person had been stabbed. RCMP officers from the Dauphin and Ethelbert detachments attended along with personnel from the Parkland EMS. A 26 year old female resident of the home was located in the home with a puncture wound in her side. The victim has been taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries.
