On August 5th, 2014 the Lac du Bonnet RCMP received a complaint of the theft of a Manitoba Metis Federation sign. The sign was located on the south side of Highway 15 near Ste. Rita. The theft was thought to have occurred during the early hours of August 2nd, 2014. The new sign had recently been erected due to vandalism of the previous sign.
