On April 13th, 2013 the Leaf Rapids R.C.M.P. received a complaint of an attempted abduction of a 7 year old child. While playing at the corner of Neepin, Wapoos and Mistik a male subject approached the child and said “get in the truck”. He then grabbed her by the shoulder and directed her toward a dirty black truck which had a grey interior. The child screamed at which time the male subject loosened his grip allowing her to escape and run home.
