On October 12, 2013, at about 9:30 am, Leaf Rapids RCMP were notified that the evening prior at about 8:30 pm, a nine-year-old girl was walking home from a friend’s house in Leaf Rapids when an unknown male in a pickup truck approached her and offered her a ride home. When she refused, he grabbed her arm and told her to get in the truck. She was able to break free from his grasp, and ran home safely.

The individual is described as wearing a black leather jacket, short hair, and has no facial hair. The vehicle is described as a dark four door pickup truck.
