On the 23rd of June 2014, the Melita RCMP detachment received a complaint of a break and enter into a local business. During the course of investigation it was learned that the Nifty Nook located on Ash Street in Melita had been broken into sometime between the 22nd, of June and the morning of the 23rd. Entry was gained through the rear door. After gaining entry into the business the suspect(s) did not take anything. The suspect(s) attempted to gain entry into the stores safe but was unsuccessful.
