On February 27, 2013, just before 2:00 a.m, Portage la Prairie RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of an armed robbery. Investigation indicates that two males entered a convenience store in the 1200 block of Saskatchewan Avenue west in Portage la Prairie brandishing a knife. The two men received an undisclosed amount of cash and a quantity of cigarettes before fleeing. There were no injures The suspects are both described as about 6′ tall. One was wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans. the second male was wearing a camouflage jacket. Both had their faces concealed and were wearing gloves.
