Just before 11:00 PM on Monday, September 2, 2013, Central Plains RCMP responded a report of a break and enter to an apartment residence in the 800 block of Saskatchewan in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Investigation revealed that illegal entry was gained to 3 separate residences within the apartment complex while occupants were inside. During one instance, the suspect was confronted by the resident and he fled from the scene. Cash and jewelry were reported stolen from the residences. No injuries were reported from these incidents. The suspect has been described as a white male, approximately 5’6″ tall with a medium build. He was wearing dark colored pants and shirt. No further information is available. Police continue to investigate.

Police are reminding residents to ensure their doors are locked when leaving their residence and when heading to sleep.
