Selkirk RCMP Detachment and Manitoba Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with solving the following Fraud:

On December 11th, 2016, Selkirk RCMP received a report of a fraud. The victim reported that they had received unknown credit card bills. Upon checking with the credit card company and the store in Winnipeg, it was determined that a person had applied with stolen identification and obtained a credit card on November 11, 2016. Security footage from that day showed a male with a female applying for a card. The subjects then used the card to purchase items fraudulently within the store. The male and female are unknown to police. In the video, it appears as though the male is the “wingman” who helps the other person apply for the card, then they go shopping. The male is described as approximately 30 years old, with a slim build and a light complexion.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Selkirk RCMP Detachment at (204) 482-1222 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
