On September 30, 2014, Selkirk RCMP received a report of a senior citizen being approached to surrender her medications. A 70-year-old female resident of Selkirk, Manitoba received a knock on her door from a male wearing identification from a local pharmacy. The man told the victim there was a recall on her medication. The victim surrendered two weeks-worth of prescription medication.
After the suspect left, the victim contacted the pharmacy, who advised her the man was not an employee.
