On August 11, 2014, just before 9:00 am, Stonewall RCMP received report of a theft of copper grounding wire from a commercial site in the RM of Rockwood, Manitoba. The suspect cut through a perimeter fence and proceeded to cut the copper grounding wire from the fence with bolt cutters. An adjoining construction trailer was broken into as well, and a spool of #2 copper wire and two sets of hand tools were stolen.

RCMP have video surveillance of the suspect. The suspect is male with a slight build and dark hair. He was wearing a grey t-shirt.

This crime has many similar elements to a theft of copper wire that occurred at a commercial site in Stonewall two weeks prior.
