On the 30th of January 2014 the Thompson RCMP responded to a call of a Break and Enter to an apartment on Laval Place in the City of Thompson. During the course of investigation it was learned that the suspect entered the apartment through a slightly open door and once in assaulted one of the occupants with a metal bar. The suspect then produced a large knife and demanded money from the occupants.
