Armed Robbery

On June 19, 2012 at about 12:45 am, RCMP Thompson Detachment were dispatched to the Deerwood area in Thompson in relation to a complaint of assault. RCMP were advised by the victim, a 28-year-old male from Thompson, that he had been assaulted after being swarmed by a group of individuals following an attempted robbery. The victim was treated at the Thompson Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
