On the 26th of October 2013 the Thompson RCMP received a complaint of a residential fire on the Split Lake First Nations Reserve. The police attended to the community and found a trailer had been burned to the ground. During the course of investigation it was learned that there was no one in the trailer at the time at the time of the fire and unfortunately for the homeowner there was no fire truck in the community. The cause of the fire is suspicious in nature.
