On September 1, 2012, shortly after 2:00 am, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance outside the Thompson Inn on Churchill Drive in the City of Thompson. RCMP Officers arrived on scene and found a 26-year-old Thompson man suffering from burn injuries. The victim was transported the Thompson General Hospital where he was treated and released. Officers determined that an altercation occurred involving a group of males. The victim was sprayed with a flammable substance and a match was thrown at him, causing the victim’s clothes to catch fire.
