On August 21, 2013, at about 9:30 p.m., Virden RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a local gas station in Elkhorn. Two unknown males entered the business with weapons and demanded cash from the lone cashier. The two male suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and lottery tickets.
One male is described as having a slim build, 5′ 8 to 5′ 9″ tall, short dark brown unkept hair, darker skin and a scruffy beard. He was wearing a red hoodie, light blue jeans and was brandishing a handgun.

The second male is described as short and stocky (body builder type), 5′ 2″ tall, short dark brown unkept hair and sideburns. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a blue zip-up jacket and was brandishing a hammer. Both males are described as wearing hard white masks similar to the photographs attached.
