On August 20th, 2023, multiple fire hydrants in the city of Selkirk were tampered with, causing significant damage and creating dangerous situations in the affected areas.

Video surveillance captured a small black Mazda, possibly a 2008-2012 model, that appeared modified as it rides low, with a very loud muffler. Police are looking for any information on a vehicle matching this description.

On February 8th, 2023, at approximately 4:55am, a male caused damage to the fuel pump at the St. Laurent Fire Department and attempted to steal fuel. The suspect was driving a black Dodge Ram 3500, early 2010’s model, with a yellow pin stripe running parallel around the truck, yellow lights on top of the roof, and had an exhaust pipe in the bed of the truck with a silver roll cage. The male was wearing a dark green parka with his hood up and a black ski mask around his face.

Most of the tools were Dewalt and included power tools such as drills, saws, shears, nail guns, as well as batteries. The tools are marked in black marker with “Cline” and the batteries with the initials “CC.”

Nelson House RCMP Detachment and Manitoba Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with solving the following Fatal Hit & Run:

On Friday, January 13th, 2023, around 8pm, Nelson House RCMP received a call regarding a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Otetiskiwin Drive near Dog Point. When officers arrived, they located a female lying on the roadway. The female was transported to the Nursing Station where she was pronounced deceased. Police believe the female was struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

In August 2022, a male suspect fraudulently opened several lines of credit in Brandon by using stolen government identification. In one case he fraudulently financed a Trek Power-fly FS-9 bike and a 8’8″ Frontenac paddle board.

The male is described as Caucasian, 6’1, medium build, bald head, had a fair complexion and did not speak with an accent. Another male accompanied him when he picked up the bike and paddle board, and he also appears to be Caucasian with a heavier build. Both were wearing all black and had facemasks on.

On August 29th, 2022, sometime after midnight, two males broke into Mcgee’s Original Grill in Carman, Manitoba. The suspects entered the building, disabled the surveillance system, and stole cash from the tills. Both suspects were masked, wearing gloves, and had break-in tools. One suspect wore a backpack, black hoodie, and red pants. The second suspect wore a green sweater, black pants, black shoes, and had a black mask on that had crossed out eyes and white teeth on it.

On May 17th, 2022, at approximately 3:30pm, RCMP and firefighters attended to a structure fire on Muskeg Drive in Chemawawin, Manitoba. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire has been determined to be arson.

Video surveillance in the area captured two individuals entering the residence shortly before the fire started. One person was wearing a red hoodie and grey pants, and the other person was wearing a black hoodie and black pants. Police are looking to identify the two people in this picture.

The lodge is only accessible via snowmobile at this time of year. Upon arrival RCMP observed the building was fully engulfed in flames and was a total loss. The cause of the fire was arson.

The toolbox is black with grey handles and has a weathered yellow “DeWalt” label on the lid and has a retractable handle with wheels on one end. It contained hand and power tools as well as safety equipment and weighed approximately 250 lbs.

The victim sustained severe and serious injuries, and was transported to hospital in critical condition.

Two males, one armed with an automatic weapon and one with a sawed off shotgun, entered the store and demanded cash and merchandise. They fled in a blue car with no license plates on it. Both suspects were Black, 6ft tall, slender builds, dressed in all black clothing, wore masks, and spoke with an African accent.

Sometime overnight between July 11th and 12th, 2021, a Chevrolet Camaro was stolen from a residence in St. Pierre-Jolys. The car was involved in a single vehicle collision around 5am on July 12th on PTH 59 just north of St. Pierre-Jolys. The thieves abandoned the car and got into a white Toyota 4Runner that was travelling behind the stolen car at the time. Police are looking to identify the individual pictured above.

Sometime overnight between August 14th and 15th, 2021, a vehicle was broken into while it was parked at a residence in Rathwell. The suspects stole a pair of woodgrain Oakley sunglasses, a black Milwaukee flashlight, and a wallet containing a debit card. The debit card was subsequently used by the suspects at several locations in Winnipeg.

The male suspect was tall with a slim build and dark short hair and was driving a white Ford F-150. The female suspect was short with a slim build, had short blonde hair and tattoos on the left side of her chest as well as on her right arm, and drove a grey Kia Sportage. Both vehicles had stolen license plates on them at the time.

The Arborg RCMP received reports of break & enter to the Meleb Bell MTS tower site. On separate occasions several gel batteries were stolen in a short period of time. The batteries are used as back up power, in the event of an outage, to keep the cellular network on line. They are labeled as ENERSYS Power Safe SBS-190F, orange in color and weight approximately 130 lbs each. If the cell tower is without backup power, there could be serious or possibly life-threatening consequences during an emergency.

On July 8th, 2021, around 4:30am, Portage La Prairie RCMP responded to a theft in progress at a business located on Highway 1. A male suspect was observed starting a garden tractor and attempting to load it onto a utility trailer. The theft was stopped by a security officer and the suspect fled. The suspect vehicle involved has a distinctive skull decal in the rear driver’s side window.

On March 9th, 2021, at 11:20pm, emergency services responded to a structure fire at a residence on School Road in Elie, Manitoba. A detached garage/shop, located approximately 30 yards from the residence, had been broken into and was intentionally set on fire using an accelerant. A Dodge truck with a trailer attached was parked outside of the garage and had obscenities scratched into it, was vandalized with spray paint, and sustained fire damage. The shop was secured by a metal gate with a padlock, which had been cut with a mechanical tool by the suspect(s).

On April 6th, 2021, a theft tools and other miscellaneous items occurred at St. Malo Provincial Park. Consequently a male suspect attempted to fraudulently use a fleet card at the Grunthal Coop. The male can be seen on video footage wearing a black jacket, beige pants, red gloves, black sunglasses, black shoes and a blue and red Blue Jays baseball cap. He has a noticeable limp while walking and was driving a black Chevrolet Aveo.

On March 18th, 2021, at approximately 1 o’clock in the morning, a female suspect approached a vehicle at the drive-through ATM located at the Noventis Credit Union in Ashern and demanded keys to the vehicle. The suspect claimed to have a gun, though no firearm was produced. The victims were able to depart without injury, and the suspect fled on foot.

The female suspect is described as being in her 20’s, 5’4″ tall, 150lbs, with blonde hair. She was wearing a long brown and gold-colored jacket, and had a face mask on.

On March 4th, 2021, around 1pm, a 17 year old male was attacked in Lorette by 4 unknown suspects who attempted to steal his wallet and assaulted him in the process. The suspects took off in a white 4 door car with BC license plates. Two of the suspects have been arrested and RCMP are still looking to identify the other two individuals. Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify one of the unknown persons in the photo.

On January 19th, 2021, just before 11:30pm, a dark coloured SUV with a light bar on the roof attended Roblin Ford and stole an exhaust off a Ford F350. In the process, the wiring harness was cut, causing extensive damage to the truck.

Over the last several years, RCMP have been investigating an ongoing issue of mischief which is occurring in the RM of Ritchot along Highwy 200 where unknown suspect(s) are dumping hundreds of nails on the roadways. The most recent incident reported was on February 14th, 2021, on Highway 200, and then again on February 22nd, 2021, this time on Highway 59 in St. Malo. The type of nails vary but most commonly large roofing nails are used.

On February 1st, 2021, the Manitoba Hydro compound in Melita was broken into, and a substantial amount of copper wiring was stolen, along with some tools and a bright orange winter suit with reflective striping. On February 9th, 2021, the same compound was broken into again and more copper wiring was stolen. That same night, the Melita Bus Garage was also broken into and a mig-welder stolen. Video surveillance from several businesses in the area shows an individual wearing Manitoba Hydro’s bright orange suit, driving a dark gray Toyota sedan with no front license plate looking around their properties.

On November 19th, at approximately 2a.m. a Bobcat Skidsteer trackloader was stolen from a construction site located near Ile des Chenes, Manitoba. Surveillance on site showed a dark colored Ford F-150 driving around before the crime occurred and was later seen hauling the stolen machinery on a trailer.

On October 1st, 2020, at 12:45pm, an unknown male wearing a dark coloured jacket walked into BMO Selkirk Branch and attempted to withdraw $7000 without any bank cards. The male presented to the bank teller what appears to be a fake BC driver’s license and SIN card with the name Jean Michel BASLEY on them. The suspect appeared to be in his 40’s or 50’s and was wearing a medical mask but appeared to match the picture on the license. When the bank teller entered the client name on their system, an alert came up informing the teller that the client may be a victim of fraudulent activities. The suspect was unable to answer some follow up security questions, and ended up leaving the branch without the BC driver’s license and SIN card.

On August 26th, 2020, at approximately 9:45am, the Niverville Credit Union on Main Street in Landmark, Manitoba, was robbed. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with light coloured eyes, approximately 30 years old, with an average build. He was wearing a full hazmat suit with an air ventilator mask and carried a clipboard. The suspect left in a white Hyundai Elantra.

On October 15th, 2020, at approximately 11:30pm, a male attended to a residence on Delorme Drive in St. Adolphe, Manitoba, and lured an adult male out of the house and into the driveway where another suspect was hiding. The two suspects then repeatedly stabbed the victim with a machete and a knife, leaving him seriously injured. It is believed the suspects fled in a vehicle.

On July 26th, 2019, Kendara Ballantyne, was reported missing to The Pas RCMP Detachment. The last time that family members saw Kendara alive was in The Pas, Manitoba, around July 1st, 2019. Kendara’s body was located by members of the Bear Clan on August 6th, 2019, behind the University College of the North in The Pas.

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Kendara’s death, and are requesting the public’s assistance in piecing together Kendara’s whereabouts and activities in the weeks prior to her death.

On Saturday, February 1st, 2020, at 6:05 pm, Fisher Branch RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on West Road approximately two kilometres north of Highway 17 in Peguis First Nation.

Officers located the victim, a 52-year-old male from Peguis, on the roadway who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. It is believed the victim was struck by a northbound vehicle.

The suspect is described as being in his late 50’s, Caucasian, approximately 5’7” tall weighing 220lbs, has long grey hair and a long grey/white beard, wearing a camouflage jacket and blue jeans.

The suspect vehicle appears to be a white Chevrolet SUV, and the driver was an elderly Caucasian woman wearing glasses, a beige toque, dark winter parka, carrying a purple/pink coloured purse. The suspect was seen exiting her vehicle, looking at the damage she caused, and then walking into the CIBC bank and the liquor store.

On Saturday, October 26th, 2019, around 7 p.m., 4 suspects entered the Liquor Mart in Selkirk and stole several bottles of liquor. They are described as:

Suspect 1 – Male, Indigenous in appearance, medium build, wearing a black hat with gold Louis Vuitton logo, black and green jacket, and camo pants
Suspect 2 – Male, Indigenous in appearance, red hat, multiple tattoos on right side forehead and on both cheeks
Suspect 3 – Male, Indigenous in appearance, black puffy jacket

Video surveillance captured two Caucasian males, who gained entry by smashing a window, stealing a small amount of cash. The suspects appear to be in their early 20’s in age and both have a thin build.

On Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019, at approximately 9:45pm, an older dark and dirty Nissan pick up truck was involved in a motor vehicle collision involving another vehicle. The collision happened eastbound on TransCanada Highway 1 and Provincial Road 248. Both vehicles pulled over, however the driver in the Nissan left before information could be exchanged. Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect. He is approximately 35-45 years old, Caucasian, medium build, and has brown short hair.

On January 2, 2018, at 10:50 pm, Dauphin RCMP were dispatched to a house fire in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue SW in Dauphin, Manitoba. The Dauphin Fire Department was on scene when officers arrived and were able to extinguish the fire and keep it from spreading to the surrounding buildings. The two occupants of the house escaped the fire with minor injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment. Surveillance video showed 3 people each toss molotov cocktails at the house.

Stonewall RCMP Detachment and Manitoba Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with solving the following Theft:

On May 21, 2019, Stonewall RCMP were called to a property on Road 81 N in the Rural Municipality of Rockwood, Manitoba on a report of a theft of property. Investigation revealed an older beige and red coloured CASE 930 Tractor with cab and front end loader attachment was stolen from the property. It is unknown at this time who or how they stole the tractor.

On June 2, 2019, Stonewall RCMP were called back to the same property on a report of a theft of a travel trailer. Police attended and received information that a 24-foot AERO white travel trailer had been towed away from the property by a black Chrysler Aspen SUV.

Between Sunday, June 23 and Friday June 28, 2019, unknown suspects broke into a property at Lake Shore Heights (near Balsam Bay). Two dirt bikes along with riding gear and other property, was stolen from the location. The two bikes are a 2016 Suzuki DRZ 125L and a 2010 Suzuki ORZ 70, both yellow.

On Sunday, May 12th, 2019, around 10am, a lone male in a vehicle was involved in a theft of gas from Fas Gas in Carman, Manitoba.

The vehicle was an older model Honda Accord 4 door, gold or brown in colour, with a sunroof. The driver was described as male, Caucasian, 30 years old, slim build. Vehicle had two different licence plates on at the time, front and rear were not matching.

It is believed that the suspect(s) are of small stature or they may be using the help of a child to enter these businesses. Once inside the suspect(s) are stealing money consisting of bills and loose change.

The two victims asked an unknown male for a cigarette who then stabbed them both. The suspect male is described as aboriginal, mid 20’s, approximately 6’1” with black hair and a skinny frame. He was wearing a dark grey or black winter jacket with grey on the chest area, a black toque with a white design on it, and jeans and sneakers. The suspect may have been with a female who is described as aboriginal, mid 20’s, skinny frame, long black hair, and wearing a light green winter jacket.

At approximately 5am on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018, Morden RCMP were dispatched to a break and enter in progress at a pharmacy located in Miami, Manitoba.  3 male suspects were observed exiting the business with a large quantity of prescription medication. When they were confronted, they dropped their items and left in an older model dark grey Toyota or Mazda SUV with a possible broken driver’s side front window.

Suspects were described as aboriginal in appearance and were all wearing black clothing with bottom portions of their faces covered. One suspect was described as 5’11” and approx. 250lbs and was carrying a bat or wooden object. The other two suspects were described as 5’06” to 5’08” and slender builds.

On Thursday, April 12th, 2018, sometime between 2 and 3 o’clock in the morning, a hit and run occurred on the Main Road between the Sipiseek area and the turn off to Egg Lake. It is believed that a four door red truck with at least four occupants in it struck a male pedestrian who sustained serious injuries as a result.  After the collision, the truck stopped, and a young skinny male approached the victim, gave him a touque, contacted EMS and then left the scene.  EMS attended and transported the victim to the nursing station.

On September 20th, 2018, at approximately 7pm, two males stole a large amount of bottles of liquor from the Elkhorn Resort Bar in Wasagaming, Manitoba.  The liquor stolen includes bottles of Polar Ice Vodka, Captain Morgan Rum (white, dark, and spiced), Lambs dark Rum, Beefeater Gin, and Silver Sauza Tequila.  Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects, who are described as follows:  Male #1 is in his mid to late 20’s, Caucasian, approximately 5’11, and has medium long hair.  He was wearing a brown hooded jacket at the time of the theft.  Male# 2 is in his mid to late 20’s, Caucasian, approximately 5’11, and has medium long hair.  He is very skinny and was wearing a large black jacket, jeans, and torn up sneakers.  The suspects may have been travelling in a dark blue or black Dodge van, and there may have been a blonde adult female in the front passenger seat of that van.

At about 4:00 am on Tuesday, September 11, Roblin RCMP received a call regarding a break-in at the local Esso. Surveillance images show two suspects throwing a rock at the door, destroying the window, and entering the building. Police are looking to identify the two people in the above picture.

On Thursday, July 26, 2018 at approximately 5:30 a.m., a Carman clothing store, Knockabouts, was broken into. The suspect(s) damaged the front door of the store to gain entry and stole a large amount of male clothing of various brands and sizes.  Items stolen include Mavi, and Silver, brand jeans, as well as Billabong, Hurley, Volcom, Tentrees and RVCA branded ball caps, shirts, and hoodies.

When police arrived on scene, there was an empty Rubbermaid trash can with wheels that had been left on the sidewalk in front of the store. It is believed that the suspect(s) used trash cans to remove the stolen clothes, but left one trash can behind.

It is believed that the suspect(s) took the trash cans from the south area of Carman, as it was garbage day that morning for that area.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., on August 31, 2018, suspects were captured on video entering the Roblin Rink, through the steel emergency doors. The suspects were also seen on video attempting to gain access to an office.  One suspect was wearing black sweatpants, a white t-shirt, and a black hoodie, with the hood pulled up.  The other suspect was wearing a black and white striped hoodie, with white or grey sweatpants, and carried a backpack.

Sometime over the May long weekend (May 19 to 21, 2018), and again during the night of June 22, 2018,  the Swan River Town Office sign was vandalized with spray paint.   On both occasions, the words, “BAND OFFICE” were spray painted on the west side of the sign.

Since May 2018, 4 different break and enter and theft happened to Integra Tires in Morris. Each time, the suspects attended the location overnight and cut the locks off storage trailers where new tires were stored. The suspects drove a vehicle into the yard to the back of the building where the storage trailers were located. The suspects used a grinder to gain access. The items that were stolen are semi-truck tires. The suspects loaded the tires in a vehicle before leaving the location.

Since May 2018, on four separate occasions, Integra Tires has been the victim of a break and enter and theft.  Each time, the suspect(s) attended the location overnight and gained entry into the storage facility by cutting the locks.  The suspect(s) arrived with a vehicle which was used to haul away the large semi-tractor tires that were stolen.

In the early morning hours of July 6, 2018, Thompson RCMP, Fire, and EMS responded to a fire in a garbage bin behind the Juniper School. After this fire was extinguished, a second fire was discovered at the rear of the Gateway Baptist Bible Church, which resulted in damage to the exterior of the building.

On July 24, 2010, Cross Lake RCMP were dispatched to a call of a motor vehicle collision  with a pedestrian.  The injured pedestrian found at the scene was Greg Bruce Trout.  He was transported to the nursing station, where he passed away due to his injuries.

Highway 44 East of Highway 59, near marker #26E

Hit and Run, Motor Vehicle Collision

On June 26, 2018, at approximately 12:15 p.m., a vehicle clipped the trailer that was being towed by a male riding a trike.  The cyclist was travelling on the right side of the eastbound lane on Highway 44, near the 26E mark, east of Highway 59.

The vehicle did not stop after clipping the cyclist, but kept driving East on Highway 44.

The vehicle, driver, and plate number of the vehicle are all unknown, however, through the investigation, and debris left at the scene, it has been determined that the vehicle was a dark colour SUV,  possibly a 2007 to 2012 Mazda CX-7.

On Monday, July 9, 2018, in the early morning hours, bolt cutters were used to remove a padlock and chain securing a grey utility trailer located on a seasonal cottage property on Highway 9, in Sandy Hook.  The trailer, and a red 2005 Arctic Cat 500 ATV, were stolen from the property.  Prior to this theft, a dark coloured, loud, diesel, truck had been observed on the property.

June 27, 2018 video surveillance at the Thompson AutoWash shows three youth males who entered the store.  The youth are shown from left to right as follows:

“Youth one” is wearing a black jacket with white stripes, black shoes, and a black hat.

“Youth two” is wearing a camo hat, brown shoes, red sweater, and blue jeans.

“Youth three” is wearing a black and white hat and shoes, and gray sweater and pants.

Video shows one of the youth purchasing an item, with the other two standing at the counter near the exit.  “Youth three” is seen on the video taking approximately $100 worth of Tobacco rolling papers off of a shelf before leaving the store.

On June 6, 2018, at approximately 3:43 a.m., an individual was caught on surveillance walking up to, and entering, a truck which was parked in the driveway to a residence on Eagle Creek Drive in East St. Paul.  Once inside the truck, the individual rummaged through the vehicle for approximately 10 minutes before getting out of the truck, and walking away with two hoodies taken from inside the truck.  The suspect appears to be a male wearing a dark jacket, dark pants, dark shoes, and a ball cap.

On May 21, 2018, at approximately 7:10 a.m., a male gained entry into the Orange Theory Fitness Centre located at 3014 Henderson Highway, by breaking a window.  Once inside the business, the suspect stole a digital camera, a small amount of cash, and an orange shoulder bag.

The suspect was captured on video surveillance, and is described as an Aboriginal male in his late 30’s to early 40’s, approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build, and black hair.  He was wearing a grey shirt, and dark pants.  It is believed that he may have been travelling by bicycle.

On Saturday, October 7, 2017 just before 8:00 p.m., a male attended the Lockport General Store located on Highway 44 in Lockport, and cashed a Government of Canada cheque, which was later determined to have been a fraudulent cheque.  A female then entered the store, also cashing a Government of Canada cheque, which was later determined to have been a fraudulent cheque.  Video surveillance of the two individuals shows that the male is approximately 5’9” in height with a medium build, and was wearing a grey and black jacket, blue jeans, grey baseball cap, and beige boots.  The female is shorter in height, and was wearing a black coat, blue jeans, white sneakers, red baseball cap, and had her hair dyed purple.  It is believed the two suspects attended the store together.

Between November, 2017, and April, 2018, a green and black 2010 Artic Cat F5LXR (similar to the snowmobile in the picture) was stolen from a property located in the RM of Two Borders, in Manitoba.  The snowmobile has an aftermarket exhaust, and a crack in the front cowling, and it is believed the snowmobile may currently be in the Carievale, Saskatchewan area.

On March 2, 2018, between approximately 12:00 and 12:30 p.m., these two individuals attended at the Winnipeg Beach branch of Noventis Credit Union, and committed fraud.  After leaving the Noventis Credit Union, both suspects were last seen headed towards the Winnipeg Beach Post Office on foot.

The suspects are both described as Italian in appearance, with dark hair, dark eyes, and facial hair. One suspect was wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, and a red and white toque.  The other suspect was wearing a ball cap, a black t-shirt, and grey sweatpants.

Melita

A Petro Canada card lock fuel card was stolen from the Melita area, with over $1,600.00 in diesel and fuel purchases charged to the stolen card, beginning January 11, 2018, in Melita, MB, and ending January 31, 2018, in Edmonton, AB at which time the card was discovered to be missing, and was cancelled. Video surveillance at Petro Canada stations, where fuel was purchased using the stolen card, shows that the suspects were driving a dark coloured Ford, possibly F-350 model. The suspect driver is a balding male of average build and height, wearing an orange hoodie underneath a jacket with a logo on the front chest, and back areas.  This suspect pulls the hood up while putting fuel in the truck.  A second suspect is also seen on surveillance, and appears to be above average in height, with an athletic build, and light coloured facial hair.  The second suspect is wearing a black jacket, and grey ball cap.

On April 23rd, 2018, at approximately 5:00 am, the OK Tire compound in Swan River, Manitoba was broken into, and a 2008 GMC Sierra 3500 Service Truck was stolen. The truck has the ‘OK Tire’ logo, and the phone number of ‘204-734-2722’, on each cabin door.  It is believed that the suspect(s) drove the vehicle southbound, onto Highway 83.  The stolen vehicle has now been located in the Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan area, however the suspect(s) have not yet been identified.

On Saturday, June 28, 2014, between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 9:50 p.m., a break and entered occurred at a home located on the north edge of Riding Mountain National Park, in the R.M. of Dauphin.  Entry to the home was made after a door was forced open.  Items stolen from the residence included money, food, jewelry, and a TV, as well as a car, which was a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix.  At approximately 2:30 a.m. the following morning, Sunday, June 29, 2014, the car was found on fire in the 100 block of 10th Street East in Brandon.

Sometime between November the 11th, 2017, and November 17, 2017, a break and enter occurred at a cabin in the RM of Alonsa. The suspect(s) entered through a back sliding door, and stole 3 firearms from a gun safe, which are similar to the firearms shown in the photo.  One firearm is an 8mm Mauser with a light brown wood stock. One firearm is an antique Russian Mosin Nagant M91-30 Sniper Rifle. The third firearm is a Tokarev TT33 Handgun, with a serial number of 5215.

During the early morning hours of March 17, 2018, two males attempted to break and enter into Ben-Tech Powersports located on Hwy 5 off 7th Avenue, in Roblin.  Once they realized there was surveillance, they began to run northbound on 7th Avenue.  One male carried a crow bar, and was wearing a ¾ length plaid jacket, gloves, glasses, and a half mask coming up to his nose.  The second male carried a bag, and was wearing a lighter hoodie, gloves, and a half mask.

Two males entered the rear of the property at Ford Electric by cutting the fence.  One male wore a red balaclava, the other wore a black facial covering.  Both wore gloves, and dark coloured, longer length, parkas.  Once through the fence, the two males inspected the electrical cords for copper wiring, and then left the rear of the property.  Moments later, they cut the locks on the front gate, and a silver Dodge Caravan was driven to the center of the lot, and loaded with two rolls of insulated copper wiring.  The suspects then left the property in the van, headed north.  The stolen wiring is valued at approximately $2000.

On the early morning of Tuesday July 18th 2017, at approximately 2:50 a.m., the Winnipegosis RCMP, along with the Waterhen Fire Department, were dispatched to a report of a fire at the Waterhen School situated at 138 Main Street, in Waterhen Manitoba.

Upon arrival at the School, the Fire Department found the rear door to the gym on fire. Smoke, fire, and water damage, occurred as a result of the blaze.

Further investigation revealed that the fire had been deliberately set.

On February 13, 2018, at approximately 3:00 am, Selkirk RCMP received a report of a burglary alarm at a pharmacy on Eveline Street, in Selkirk, Manitoba.

Officers arrived and observed the front glass door was smashed, and that there was a large hole in the drop ceiling inside the pharmacy.  The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of medications in a large Rubbermaid container.

The lone male suspect was wearing a balaclava, a black and white “Drift Racing” ski jacket, green camouflage pants, and black winter boots.

On March 10th, 2018, the Esterhazy/Langenburg, SK RCMP received a report of a stolen trailer carrying a side by side, and an ATV.  The trailer and vehicles were stolen from Highway 8 in the Tantallon/Spy Hill area. The side by side is a yellow and black Can Am Maverick, and the ATV is a camouflage coloured Polaris 550.  The trailer is a 17 foot flat bed tandem.

Sometime between February 12th and February 15th, 2018, a residence situated on Corbett Road in Birch River, Manitoba was broken into.  A window and door were slightly damaged, and a 32″ Aveis flat screen television was stolen.  RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public in determining who was responsible for this break, enter, and theft.

On the morning of Monday, May 8, 2017, a break and enter was discovered at the Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, Manitoba. The man door to a storage shed had been forced open. A quantity of equipment was stolen from the building including a 2010 John Deere 997 ZTRAK riding mower, and a 2010 John Deere 3520 tractor. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene, and are believed to have then been loaded onto a trailer.

On November 9th, 2017 around 1:35 p.m. a man stole a leather belt from Black’s Sporting Goods in Dauphin, Manitoba. The man had grey hair and a goatee, and was wearing a black and red jacket. He was observed to roll the belt up under his sleeve before walking out of the store. Once outside the store, he got onto a mountain bike and rode away.

On January 14th 2018 at around midnight, a white Dodge Ram Truck was stolen from the driveway outside of a residence in Mafeking, Manitoba. The vehicle was located just west of the Saskatchewan border a day later on Highway 77 near National Mills, Manitoba. The vehicle appeared to have been abandoned and set on fire. RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public in determining who was involved in the theft and arson of this vehicle, as well as several other break and enters that have occurred in Mafeking recently. On the morning of Wednesday January 17th, Manitou RCMP were advised of several break and enters that had occurred in Pilot Mound, MB. As per video surveillance, two subjects were observed breaking and entering into Call-Inn’s Hotel after hours. The subjects removed a safe, obtaining cash and an unknown quantity of liquor. As per video surveillance, subjects pulled up to the hotel in a white newer model GMC Sierra, single cab. The truck had two toolboxes in its bed, one at the front covering the width of the vehicle and another extending from the front to the back of the truck bed. Two orange ladders were fastened to a rack extending over the truck bed.

On Thursday January 11th 2018 at around 2:28 am, Treherne RCMP received a dispatch of a commercial alarm at a business in the Rural Municipality of Grey near St. Claude, Manitoba. Police arrived a short time after and observed the door had been forcibly entered and the door frame had been damaged. Video footage was obtained and reveals two male suspects entered the property. The males walked over to a security camera located by the front desk and were startled when they saw it. The suspects then attempted to open the door to the main shop area where an audible alarm began sounding. The suspects were then seen leaving the business right after. The camera was stolen and removed. The suspects are described as heavyset males wearing dark clothing, faces partially covered and gloves.

On May 27th, 2017, the Thompson RCMP responded to a report that a female had been stabbed. Upon investigation, it was determined that a female was assaulted by three unknown females near Juniper Elementary School in Thompson, Manitoba.

One female is described as being 5’7″ tall, Aboriginal, skinny, with short hair, and wearing a black zip-up hoodie and jeans. The second female is described as being 5’8″ tall, Caucasian, and wearing a black zip-up hoodie, grey sweatpants, and red Nike shoes. Her hair was in a bun, and is believed to be curly. The last female is described as being 5’8″ tall, Aboriginal, with long black hair, and wearing a black hoodie zipped all the way up.

Selkirk RCMP Detachment and Manitoba Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with solving the following Fraud:

On December 11th, 2016, Selkirk RCMP received a report of a fraud. The victim reported that they had received unknown credit card bills. Upon checking with the credit card company and the store in Winnipeg, it was determined that a person had applied with stolen identification and obtained a credit card on November 11, 2016. Security footage from that day showed a male with a female applying for a card. The subjects then used the card to purchase items fraudulently within the store. The male and female are unknown to police. In the video, it appears as though the male is the “wingman” who helps the other person apply for the card, then they go shopping. The male is described as approximately 30 years old, with a slim build and a light complexion.

On July 28th, 2017 at approximately 1:30am, Nelson House RCMP responded to a report of a house fire. The back porch of the residence at 18 Spence Crescent had been lit on fire by an unknown individual and was successfully put out by neighbours. On October 7th, 2017, The Pas RCMP responded to a report of an adult male that had been found in the Grub Box parking lot, who appeared to have been assaulted. Members of the RCMP located the male who had injuries consistent with being assaulted. The male received medical attention and was later released from the hospital. The male did not remember what happened and there are no suspects at this time. The Pas RCMP are looking for any information in regards to this assault.

On July 13th, 2017 at approximately 02:20 am, a residence on 7th avenue south, in Swan River, Manitoba, was set on fire. The fire spread from the garage to the residence, and jumped to an adjacent home on the same block.

Two unidentified males were seen in the area by neighbors. There was a male seen wearing a grey sweater and pants, a snap back hat and had shorter hair. The other was wearing a red shirt.

Thursday October 5th just after 5 pm: a person was driving on Provincial Road 500 near Road 100N when they saw two males in their late teens or early 20s on quads on the side of the road.  When the person slowed down to take a picture of the males, one of them unslung a rifle and shot at the vehicle as it drove away. Both suspects were wearing red hoodies, black balaclava facemasks with skull mouth and blue hats.

At the time of the theft, A black newer style Dodge Ram pick up truck was seen in the area with what is believed to be the stolen ATV in the back.

On the afternoon of Friday, July 7, 2017, three people entered the C0-Op store in Dauphin, Manitoba. While one acted as a lookout, the other two concealed items in a backpack then left the store. The following day, two of the same suspects entered one of the Co-Op gas bar locations in Dauphin and again stole a quantity of merchandise. These individuals are also believed to have committed another theft at the same gas bar on May 27th, 2017. At that time they were driving a brown 4 door car.

Sometime during the night of August 18th 2017 into the early morning of August 19th, two bicycles that had been locked onto a car carrier were stolen in Rossburn, Manitoba. The second was a Specialized Marathon Epic mountain bike with a black body and red lettering.

On Tuesday July 18th, 2017 at about 10:30pm, Selkirk RCMP and Selkirk Fire Department were called to a fire alarm at the Selkirk Medical Centre on Eveline Street in the City of Selkirk. As emergency personnel arrived, the back entrance of the building was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was put out quickly but not without extensive damage to the back entrance and smoke damage throughout the building. Security footage of the area reveals a small white 4-door Volkswagen Golf hatchback approach the scene with a lone male driver wearing a white and dark baseball cap, a dark t-shirt, blue shorts and black and white running shoes.

On July 19th, 2017, a theft occurred at the Petro Canada in Virden MB. An unknown male entered the Petro Canada, and after walking around and realizing there was only one employee working, he entered the “Staff Only” office and proceeded to steal several cartons of cigarettes. The suspect entered and exited the building three times, each time leaving with a garbage bin full of cigarettes.

The suspect is described as male, Caucasian, in his 30s to 40s, and approximately 173cm tall with a slim build.

At approximately 12:30pm on October 29th, 2016, a white 2014 Nissan Titan, MB license plate GGZ 420, was parked in a parking lot facing Portsmouth Road, along building C-105 in Shilo, Manitoba. On November 1st, 2016 at 11:42am, the same vehicle was reported stolen to Military Police.

On November 1st, 2016, at approximately 4:30pm, this vehicle was involved in a Hit and Run accident at the intersection of Arlington St. and Wellington Ave. in Winnipeg, MB. Then on November 18th, 2016, this vehicle was located by WPS in the back lane of the 400 block of Dufferin Ave. in Winnipeg MB, with a used stove in the bed of the truck.

The suspect was observed driving the vehicle during the hit and run. He is described as male, Aboriginal, approximately 5’5” in height with a small build and dark hair. He was observed wearing a baseball cap, and looked to be around 20 years of age.

On July 2nd, 2017, a homeowner left the property of his new build house in the RM of Grey around 9:00pm. The homeowner and the contractor arrived at the residence the morning of July 3rd, 2017, and observed that the trailer containing the contractor’s tools had the lock cut off and numerous tools were stolen. Items include: a laser in an orange case, numerous nailers, a hammer drill, several air tools, levels, a mitre saw, jigsaws, a table saw, a Makita compressor and an orange ladder. A majority of these items were in orange cases. Police found two sets of footprints leaving the scene: one appeared to be a smaller size female running shoe, the other a larger size work boot.

On June 11th, 2017 Lac Du Bonnet RCMP received a complaint of a theft/attempted break and enter to a cabin on Wendigo Road. The incident is believed to have occurred on June 5th or June 6th, 2017. Trail cameras on the property show that there were a male and female suspect on the property. The suspect vehicle appears to be a dark coloured Chevrolet Avalanche, possibly between the years of 2003-2005. The female suspect appears to have a tattoo on her lower right leg. Police are requesting assistance in identifying the suspects. Another male walked a dog on to the same property approximately a week and a half prior to the theft, and police are looking to identify and speak to the male as the circumstances were described as suspicious. On the night of April 15th, 2017, a Break and Enter occurred at the Band Store in Crane River First Nation. Suspects cut a hole through the wall of the store and stole an unknown amount of cash and over 50 cartons of cigarettes.

On May 26th, 2017 at approximately 3:19 a.m. Emerson RCMP responded to a break in at the CO-OP gas bar and Dueck Pharmacy both in Vita, Manitoba. The subjects gained entry by smashing the front door at both businesses. A small amount of cash was taken from CO-OP gas. Scratch lottery tickets and prescription drugs were taken from the pharmacy. Police believe there were 3 individuals that wore dark hoodies to cover their faces. Police believe they were driving a newer model silver/grey Jeep Cherokee.

He appears to be in his 20s and was wearing black sweatpants and a baggy hoodie with rips and tears on the bottom. The suspect ran off toward the train tracks.

On May 1st, 2012, at approximately 10:40 p.m., the Parkland RCMP along with the local fire department and EMS responded to a pedestrian hit and run motor vehicle collision on Highway #5, 1 km northwest of Grandview, Manitoba.

Mr. Allen Ashley KAKAKAWAY of Valley River First Nation was found at the scene and transported to the Grandview Hospital where he passed away as a result of his injuries.

On March 31, 2017, Steinbach RCMP received report of a Break and Enter at Manitoba Hydro (1 Loewen Blvd) in Steinbach, Manitoba. Three vehicles were broken into, and three fleet/ fuel cards were stolen. The fleet cards were used in Steinbach and Winnipeg at 7-11 convenience stores on March 30th and March 31st.

The first unknown male is described as being in his late forties or early fifties with no facial hair, and was wearing a dark and white baseball cap, a dark hoodie, blue jeans, and a yellow reflective jacket.

The second male is described as being in his forties with no facial hair, right handed, wearing a wedding ring and a dark hoodie, dark jacket with a reflective stripe on the left arm, blue jeans and a camouflage and hunter orange baseball cap.

The third male is described as being in his thirties with facial hair, and wearing light brown boots, blue jeans, a dark hoodie and a plaid jacket.

The fourth male is described as being in his forties with short hair, facial hair, and wearing a dark jacket.

Island Lake RCMP Detachment and Manitoba Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with solving the following Aggravated Assault:

On February 12th, 2017 at 1:45 a.m., Island Lake RCMP received a report of an aggravated assault on a known gang member in Garden Hill. The attack took place outside of the water treatment plant. The victim was hit in the head with an axe and was also stabbed in the leg. The axe was described as having a yellow handle.

There are three suspects, all of whom are male and were wearing camouflage. They are believed to be members of the Soldiers gang. The three males were seen with an older model (2005) grey Ford F150 extended cab.

At 7:30 a.m. on the 19th of January, 2017, Canada Post Office employees within the Town of Niverville contacted the St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP detachment and reported a Break, Enter and Theft at the Niverville Post Office. Between midnight and 7:00 a.m., unknown suspect(s) pried the rear door of the post office and gained entry. The suspect(s) stole several unknown items, rummaged through numerous mail parcels and discarded other parcels during this incident. The suspect was wearing a green shirt and black dress pants. The bicycle is described as a “10” speed style bicycle with curved handlebars.

On the 1st of May, 2012 at approximately 9:30 p.m. a lone female was walking southbound on the sidewalk of Brandt Street near Echo Fitness in Steinbach, Manitoba. The female was approached by a young male riding a mountain bike and as he passed her, he reached out and inappropriately touched her upper body. The female was not injured as a result of the assault, and the male fled northbound on Brandt Street. A similar incident occurred on March 22, 2012 in the area of Shopper’s Drug Mart in Steinbach. The suspect is described as possibly 15 years old, short dark hair, slim build with narrow face and no facial hair, wearing a black jacket. The mountain bike is described as having straight handle bars.

On April 23, 2012 the Steinbach RCMP received a report that the Blumenort Lagoon site, located on Road 42 East, had been broken into. Suspects cut through a chain link fence and gained entry into a fully enclosed trailer that was parked in the compound. The suspects made off with various tools and equipment including a Honda Boat motor, a John Deere Gator and a 300 watt Honda generator. On July 31, 2012 at approximately 9:11 AM, Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of arson. The incident occurred overnight at a construction site situated at 230 Barkman Avenue in Steinbach. The fire consisted of someone setting a small fire inside the building resulting in minor damage. Steinbach Fire Department attended and immediately put out the fire. The Office of the Fire Commissioner also attended the scene and deemed the fire suspicious. It is unknown at this time if the fire was meant to burn down the site. There is no estimate of damage at this time.

Steinbach RCMP are investigating several complaints of mischief to vehicles that occurred on Spruce Crescent in Steinbach, between August 4 and August 6, 2012. In one incident, the unknown suspects used two ( 2 ) 18 liters of concrete curing compound left on the street and poured it on two ( 2 ) vehicles parked along the street. Another vehicle was damaged by paint and another one had the tail light smashed. No other damage was noted done in the area.

Investigation indicates that a woman was seated at an outdoor bench on Main Street at about 2:00 p.m, when an unknown male exposed himself to her before fleeing the area. The woman was not injured. The male is described as about 6′ tall with a medium build and dark brown shaggy hair that was down to his jaw line. He was wearing a navy blue shirt with white stripes, blue jeans, white shoes and sunglasses.

The suspect(s) gained access to two separate construction sites. Stolen from the sites were a large quantity of construction tools including a Dewalt 12 inch compound miter saw, Dewalt table saw, two reciprocating saws and three Drying fans, a dishwasher and other smaller high end tools. Police believe the suspect may have been parked outside the residence during the night and may have been driving an “U-Haul style” moving truck.

On the Monday the 1st of October, 2012 a break and enter occurred during broad daylight in the RM of La Broquerie. Police believe that multiple suspects broke into a residence located approximately 3 miles south of the Town of La Broquerie along Road 32 N. The suspects kicked in the back door of the residence and proceeded to steal a large Samsung television, surround sound system speaker system, a 24 carat gold necklace and other jewelry. Several Ipods, and a black hand pellet gun were also taken from the residence.

On October 2nd, 2012, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on Road 40N in the RM of Ste Anne, Manitoba. It is believed that entry was gained through a rear door. Stolen from the residence were several electronic devices, jewelry, an undisclosed amount of currency, and prescription medication. Police believe the break in occurred between September 28th, 2012 at 11:00 am and October 1st, 2012 at 5:00 pm.

Steinbach RCMP are reporting a major equipment theft that occurred sometime between Saturday the 6th of October, 2012 and Tuesday morning the 9th of October, 2012. The suspect(s) stole a truck, trailer and skid-steer belonging to Hillside Construction from their business parking lot on Clearsprings Road in Steinbach. The truck is described as a black 2007 Ford F350 Crew Cab with “Hillside Construction” decals on all sides of the vehicle bearing Manitoba Licence Plate #CDX 366 and the trailer is a 16 foot Penner utility trailer with fold up ramps on the back bearing Manitoba Licence Plate #CNL 010. The skid-steer is described as a 2008 New Holland C175 skid-steer, yellow and black in colour, on tracks with a black bucket. (Photos attached are not the exact machine, but of similar description).

On October 30, 2012 Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of a Break, Enter and theft at an apartment on Reimer Avenue in Steinbach, that occurred on October 28th, 2012. Unknown subjects entered the apartment through a window and stole a large quantity of furniture and household items such as a bed, kitchen table and chairs, television, dishes and other items. While in the apartment the subjects destroyed two doors and did other damage to the apartment. Due to the amount of items taken, police suspect a truck or a vehicle with a trailer would have been used.

On November 16th at approximately 7:30 pm the Steinbach RCMP received a report of a hit and run collision in the parking lot of Tim Horton’s and Safeway in Steinbach. The investigation revealed that a northbound vehicle collided with a pedestrian. The northbound vehicle left the area and could not be located. The northbound vehicle is described as a smaller car, possibly a grey or silver Chevrolet Cavalier or Pontiac Sunfire. Vehicle may have damage to the front driver’s side area. Pedestrian was transported to hospital however his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

On the morning of the 15th of December, 2012 Steinbach RCMP were advised that a vehicle was stolen from Simard Street in La Broquerie. Sometime during the night suspect(s) broke into and stole a 2001 Silver Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.. The suspect(s) removed the licence plates from the vehicle and began to driving erratically around the community of La Broquerie. On Sunday morning Steinbach RCMP located the vehicle abandoned in La Broquerie on Rue Des Pignons in La Broquerie. Police have reason to believe the same vehicle may have been involved in other criminal behaviors in and around the immediate area.

On January 3, 2013 at about 4:20 p.m., Steinbach RCMP were informed of an armed robbery with a firearm at a business on 1st Street in Steinbach, Manitoba. RCMP attended and secured the scene where investigation revealed that a male dressed in black, wearing a balaclava entered the business and pointed a long, barreled firearm at the business owner. The suspect then demanded cash from the cash register and safe before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then entered a waiting vehicle that was parked nearby. Investigation indicates that the suspect vehicle circled the area prior to the suspect entering the business. Witnesses indicate that the suspect vehicle departed the scene with two males wearing balaclavas. No one was injured during the incident.

On January 13, 2013 at about 4:30 a.m., Steinbach RCMP were informed of a Home Invasion involving firearms near New Bothwell, Manitoba. Steinbach RCMP immediately attended and secured the scene. Investigation revealed that at approximately 2:30 a.m. three or four unknown males, wearing black balaclava’s carrying firearms, arrived at a residence near New Bothwell, Manitoba. The males forcibly entered a camper situated on a yard site that was occupied by a female resident.

Upon entry into the camper, the suspects pepper sprayed and pointed numerous firearms at the female victim forcing her into a back room. One suspect confined the victim by holding her at gun point as the remaining suspects rummaged through the camper stealing electronic equipment. The victim remained at gunpoint in the camper as the other suspects entered her residence where her 6 year old child was present. A variety of electronic devices were stolen from the residence.

The victim described two of the suspects. One suspect possessed large, dark, bushy eyebrows and the other suspect displayed a strong English speaking accent. The suspects fled the residence in an unknown vehicle in an undetermined direction.

On January 16, 2013 at approximately 5:45 AM, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a burnt vehicle located on Aspen Road near Blumenort, Manitoba. The vehicle is a black Chevrolet or GMC regular cab truck, possibly a 2005-2006. Police are unable to determine the owner of the vehicle. At the same time, police received a report of a stolen grey 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab bearing Manitoba licence plate FLK920. The vehicle has the logo : Oak Lee Properties Ltd. on both rear side windows. The vehicle was stolen sometime after 9PM on January 15, 2013 in proximity of the burnt vehicle. Police also received a report that overnight a nearby property owner had noticed footprints around the property. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
Shortly after 1:15PM, police received a call of two break and enters to businesses located in proximity of Aspen Drive and PR #311 near Blumenort. Stolen from the businesses were the following:

Two diagnostic scanners ( large and small ), a pistol grip video camera, small amount of cash, drill set containing 18 volt Milwakee cordless drill, batteries, sawzall, circular saw and flashlight. The estimated value for the theft is approximately $4000.

On Sunday, December 16th 2012, a break and enter was discovered at the Family Worship Centre in Grandview, Manitoba. The break in occurred sometime during the preceding night after a door was forced open. A number of items were stolen including an Asus laptop computer.

On January 17, 2013 at about 10:45 pm the Swan River RCMP, Parkland EMS and the Swan River Fire Dept were dispatched to a 2 vehicle motor vehicle collision on Hwy # 83 near Kenville, Manitoba. A semi truck was traveling northbound on Highway 83 just north of Kenville when a southbound vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane. The sides of each vehicle collided. The southbound vehicle did not stop, but continued on in a southbound direction. The Semi truck had minimal damage to the truck, and no damage to his trailer. The semi truck awaited the arrival of emergency services. The semi truck driver was not injured.

Subsequent patrols did not turn up the southbound vehicle. The southbound vehicle could possibly be a dark red or burgundy Chevrolet Venture.

On the 4th of February, 2013, Steinbach RCMP responded to a break and enter and theft at a residence in the Rural Municipality of Hanover which occurred in the late afternoon. Investigation revealed that entry to the residence was gained through the front door and several items were taken from the residence including a 23 inch Coby flat screen T.V., a Citizen wrist watch, five gold rings, a gold chain necklace and $100 in cash. The investigation has identified two male suspects. The suspects were seen driving a dull grey two door GMC/Chevrolet pickup truck. One male was believed to be in his forties with a stocky build while the other is believes to be in his twenties with a slimmer build.

Steinbach RCMP are investigating a theft of a dirt bike that occurred sometime between 1000 p.m. June 7th and 1100 a.m. June 8th, 2013. The theft occurred from a residence on 4th street in Steinbach Manitoba. On June 21, 2013 the Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter in the 300 block of McKenzie Street. The suspect gained entry into the house through the front door, causing extensive damage to the door. A suspect was noted near the residence around the time of the incident. On October 8th, 2013 at approximately 6:30 am, the Steinbach RCMP were dispatched to the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach as a male had been attacked by two unknown assailants with a knife.

Investigation revealed the victim was leaving his apartment on Brandt Street in Steinbach and was walking to his vehicle parked outside when he was approached by two males. One of the males presented a knife and a brief struggle ensued before taking the victim’s wallet from him. The males then left on foot.

The victim did not receive any serious injuries as a result of the incident. One of the males is described as 20-25 years old with brown hair and blue eyes. He is Caucasian and approximately 5’5″ – 5’7″ tall. He was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket and has a slim build. The second male was described as Caucasian and of similar age.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a report of a suspicious male that approached a teenage girl last night in the Clearspring Mall parking lot near the picnic tables located north of McDonald’s. The investigation so far has determined that a middle aged man, described as; Caucasian in appearance, average height and build, unshaven, short black hair, wearing a baseball cap, eye glasses, a black jacket and black jeans, approached this teenage girl and had asked her questions about a dog she had been playing with earlier and also asked her questions about where her parents were. At one point, the male put his arm around the teen and attempted to hug her. The teen distanced herself from the male and the male eventually left the area driving an older black four door car with a bicycle rack with bicycle on the back of it.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in regards to a break and enter on Marshall Place in the City of Steinbach. At about 3:00 pm on December 3, 2013 unknown individuals attended a residence and broke into the residence with the intent to commit theft. Nothing was stolen as the homeowner was in the residence at the time of the incident and scared away the individuals. The two men involved were described as driving an orange truck. The man who entered the home was wearing a dark toque and had a thick dark moustache, about 6’0 tall, 30-35 years old and carrying a backpack. The second male who stayed in the truck was described as wearing a black toque and having a dark beard.

On February 1, 2014 at approximately 11:24 AM, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a Hit & Run that occurred between the hours of 6 PM on January 31, 2014 and 10:30 AM on February 1, 2014. The vehicle, a black Chevrolet Equinox, was parked on the street near Minute Muffler when the incident occurred. The vehicle sustained damage to the trunk and the driver’s door. It appears that the impact would have cause the vehicle to now face in the opposite direction of when originally parked. There were no debris left at the scene which would indicate that someone may have tried to “clean up” any evidence.

On February 7th at 11:00 PM, Steinbach RCMP responded to an alarm at the Le Depanneur / Shell gas station in La Broquerie, Manitoba. On arrival Police confirmed that a break and enter had occurred and a undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes had been stolen. Review of video surveillance showed a single suspect entering the store wearing a black jacket, brown pants, a black face covering and carrying a black hockey bag with a NHL logo on the side. The suspect is approximately 6’1″ and medium build. Police believe the suspect fled in a small dark coloured car.

On February 13, 2014 at approximately 7:36 PM, Steinbach RCMP responded to an attempt robbery at the Mitchell CO-OP gas station in Mitchell, Manitoba. Immediate attendance was made by police. Investigation revealed that a male dressed in snowmobile gear (including helmet) entered the gas station and demanded money from the till. The cashier refused to provide any money and the unknown male fled the scene empty handed on a snowmobile heading east towards Steinbach. The male was wearing black snowmobile pants and a brown jacket as well as reflective rainbow coloured goggles. He was described as approximately 6 feet tall with an average build. No weapons were reported.

The complainant advised that a detached garage was on fire. Members attended the scene, and on arrival noted that a garage was fully engulfed in flames. A school bus in the driveway had also caught fire. The La Broquerie Fire Department attended and put out the fire.

On March 10, 2014 officers from the Steinbach RCMP attended to a residence east of Steinbach on Highway 52 in the RM of La Broquerie. Investigation revealed that sometime between the hours of 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM suspects gained entry into a residence. The suspects gained entry by breaking the front door. A small amount cash was taken from the residence.

Police are looking for the public’s help in locating two stolen snowmobiles from Richer, Manitoba. During the day of March 28th, 2014, the two snowmobiles were stolen from a residence in the town. The two snowmobiles are described as a black 1996 Skidoo Mach z 780 with purple writing and a 2002 red Polaris XC Edge 800.

The Steinbach RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a break and enter to a residence in the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie near Zhoda. On April 12th, 2014 Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of a break, enter and theft, the culprits forced open a door and stole several items including; home electronics, power tools and money. Police believe the incident occurred between the evening hours of April 11th and the early morning hours of April 14th.

On April 13th the Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of a break in to a home under construction. The culprits broke the front door window to gain entry and proceeded to damage appliances. Police believe the incident occurred on the night of Saturday April 12th.

On April 13, 2014, during early morning hours, a 16-year-old female was walking down Main Street in Steinbach when she was approached by a male in a black SUV-type vehicle. A verbal exchange occurred between the male and female at which point, the male suspect forced the female into his vehicle. The male suspect brandished a weapon and proceeded to sexually assault the victim.

The female victim was able to free herself from the suspect after a period of time. The male suspect is described as approximately six feet tall, with dark hair that is thinning in the middle and long at the sides. The male suspect had a slight beard and was missing a tooth. He was wearing jeans, a black hoodie and black gloves.

Steinbach RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in regards to the mischief of several camper trailers at businesses on Highway 12 in Steinbach at approximately 1:00 am on April 23, 2014. Unknown suspects damaged over a dozen trailers and items such as televisions and fire extinguishers were removed from the trailers. The trailers had damage which also resulted in a suspect sustaining injuries possibly to their hands and/or arms as blood was left behind at the scene. Alcohol is also believed to be a factor in this occurrence.

On April 24th, 2014, Steinbach RCMP received a report of 4 stolen snowmobiles and a trailer. The 4 Snowmobiles are described as; Arctic Cat F8 2010 Licence # 7A514, Arctic Cat F8 Sno Pro 2010 Licence #8C399, Arctic Cat F5 LXR 2013 Licence #7A509, and a Arctic Cat PROCROSS F800 2012 Licence #4B294, all green in colour. The snowmobiles were stolen from Loewen Auto Sales parking lot, in Steinbach, Manitoba. The snowmobiles were on a Trailer with licence plate R503K, and were driven off of that property.

On April 27, 2014 members of the Steinbach RCMP, along with the fire department and EMS were dispatched to a report of a house fire on Cypress Place in Steinbach. On arrival members found that a fire had spread from the attached garage into the house, which was fully engulfed in flames. All occupants of the residence were able to escape the blaze without injury. The damage to the house is extensive and the value of the loss is not known. The RCMP, along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner are investigating the cause of the fire. Foul play has been ruled out.

A fire extinguisher was removed from the Motel and its contents were emptied into the fuel tank of a nearby vehicle. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the subjects pictured.

Police were advised of two break and enters to neighbouring businesses located west of Blumenort off HWY 311. Suspects gained entry to a gravel pit proceeded to steal a large quality of electrical wire and tools from the yard site. The suspect(s) then broke into a neighbouring business and proceeded to steal two Yamaha generators. The suspects damaged multiple trailers and containers on site before departing the area.
