On August 20th, 2023, multiple fire hydrants in the city of Selkirk were tampered with, causing significant damage and creating dangerous situations in the affected areas.
Video surveillance captured a small black Mazda, possibly a 2008-2012 model, that appeared modified as it rides low, with a very loud muffler. Police are looking for any information on a vehicle matching this description.

Sometime between September 3rd and 17th, 2023, a large amount of items were stolen from a boat in Ninette. On August 27th, 2023, around 2pm, two women attended to a business in Ste. Rose du Lac and stole food products. The suspects had a young child with them, and they left in a dark grey Kia Forte with an invalid license plate. The car had a damaged back end.

Sometime overnight between July 31st and August 1st, 2023, a business located on 4th Avenue South in Swan River was broken into and the suspect(s) stole several tools, audio and video equipment, as well as computers. Among the stolen items are a Viavi Fiber Optic Meter/Scope, two Latitude 3310 laptops, a Makita drill with battery, and some Panasonic camera equipment.

On February 8th, 2023, at approximately 4:55am, a male caused damage to the fuel pump at the St. Laurent Fire Department and attempted to steal fuel. The suspect was driving a black Dodge Ram 3500, early 2010’s model, with a yellow pin stripe running parallel around the truck, yellow lights on top of the roof, and had an exhaust pipe in the bed of the truck with a silver roll cage. The male was wearing a dark green parka with his hood up and a black ski mask around his face.

Sometime overnight between May 16th and 17th, 2023, a construction company in Killarney was broken into and a large amount of tools were stolen. Most of the tools were Dewalt and included power tools such as drills, saws, shears, nail guns, as well as batteries. The tools are marked in black marker with “Cline” and the batteries with the initials “CC.”

On February 19th, 2023, between 2:45am and 3:15am two people attended to the Lundar Motor Hotel in a dark coloured pickup truck with white writing on the rear window and broke into the ATM. The truck came onto the property and left twice, both times heading north on Highway 6.

Shortly after midnight on August 15th, 2022, Winnipegosis RCMP were dispatched to structure fire at the Pine Creek First Nation Healing Centre. The fire was deliberately set, and the building was a complete loss at a cost of more than a million dollars.

On Friday, January 13th, 2023, around 8pm, Nelson House RCMP received a call regarding a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Otetiskiwin Drive near Dog Point. When officers arrived, they located a female lying on the roadway. The female was transported to the Nursing Station where she was pronounced deceased. Police believe the female was struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

Sometime between June 15th and August 19th, 2022, an outboard motor was stolen from a locked compound on the edge of the Town of Gillam on Railway Avenue. The motor was removed from the boat and was a 2020 Yamaha F60JB, grey in colour, 60hp, with serial number 6C5J-10913860.

In August 2022, a male suspect fraudulently opened several lines of credit in Brandon by using stolen government identification. In one case he fraudulently financed a Trek Power-fly FS-9 bike and a 8’8″ Frontenac paddle board.
The male is described as Caucasian, 6’1, medium build, bald head, had a fair complexion and did not speak with an accent. Another male accompanied him when he picked up the bike and paddle board, and he also appears to be Caucasian with a heavier build. Both were wearing all black and had facemasks on.

On October 11th, 2022, a decommissioned bridge located on Road 1 West in the RM of Rhineland was destroyed by fire. The value of the loss is several million dollars, and the cause of the fire is suspicious.

On October 22nd, 2022, Fisher Branch RCMP received a report that an ATV and a trailer had been stolen from a residence in Peguis First Nation. The ATV is an orange 2020 Brute Force 750 with license plate 1L989. The trailer is a red flat deck homemade trailer with white boarding around the sides.

On August 29th, 2022, sometime after midnight, two males broke into Mcgee’s Original Grill in Carman, Manitoba. The suspects entered the building, disabled the surveillance system, and stole cash from the tills. Both suspects were masked, wearing gloves, and had break-in tools. One suspect wore a backpack, black hoodie, and red pants. The second suspect wore a green sweater, black pants, black shoes, and had a black mask on that had crossed out eyes and white teeth on it.

On August 15, 2022, at Swan River Golf and Country Club, a John Deere Gator with a Buffalo Turbine Blower attached was stolen. The turbine blower was recovered. Nothing seen or heard by neighbours in the area. The Gator is missing a muffler and is very loud when running.

On Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, at approximately 6pm, a fire started at the old sewage plant in Wasagamack, Manitoba. The building sustained substantial damage, and the cause of the fire was determined to be arson. A witness saw a group of kids running away from the scene. One of the kids was wearing brown pants, a black sweater, and a white mask.

Fisher Branch RCMP received a report of dirt bike and ATV stolen from a Poplarfield residence on Wednesday, July 6. The ATV is a 2013 Sportman 500, the front rack has some damage. On May 1st, 2022, at approximately 5pm, a storage shed located on a seasonal property in Oak Lake Beach was broken into and several items were stolen. On May 17th, 2022, at approximately 3:30pm, RCMP and firefighters attended to a structure fire on Muskeg Drive in Chemawawin, Manitoba. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire has been determined to be arson.

On December 12th, 2021, at approximately 4:30 pm, RCMP were dispatched to a fire at Bloodvein River Lodge located on an island along the Bloodvein River, south of Bloodvein First Nation. The lodge is only accessible via snowmobile at this time of year. Upon arrival RCMP observed the building was fully engulfed in flames and was a total loss. The cause of the fire was arson.

On the night of November 22nd, 2021, a DeWalt toolbox was stolen out of the back of a white Chevrolet Silverado that was parked in the Super 8 parking lot in Swan River. The toolbox is black with grey handles and has a weathered yellow “DeWalt” label on the lid and has a retractable handle with wheels on one end. It contained hand and power tools as well as safety equipment and weighed approximately 250 lbs.

On August 30th, 2021, at approximately 8:45pm, a male attended to a farm yard in the RM of Stuartburn and stole a large amount of tools. The suspect drove a 4-door Ford F150.

On September 27th, 2021, shortly after midnight, a 41 year old male was violently assaulted by two males behind the Portage Laundromat in Portage La Prairie. The suspects then fled, one on a bike, wearing a grey sweater and black pants, and one on foot, dressed in all black clothing. The victim sustained severe and serious injuries, and was transported to hospital in critical condition.

Both suspects were Black, 6ft tall, slender builds, dressed in all black clothing, wore masks, and spoke with an African accent.

Sometime overnight between July 11th and 12th, 2021, a Chevrolet Camaro was stolen from a residence in St. Pierre-Jolys. The car was involved in a single vehicle collision around 5am on July 12th on PTH 59 just north of St. Pierre-Jolys. The thieves abandoned the car and got into a white Toyota 4Runner that was travelling behind the stolen car at the time. Police are looking to identify the individual pictured above.

Sometime overnight between August 14th and 15th, 2021, a vehicle was broken into while it was parked at a residence in Rathwell. The suspects stole a pair of woodgrain Oakley sunglasses, a black Milwaukee flashlight, and a wallet containing a debit card. The debit card was subsequently used by the suspects at several locations in Winnipeg.
The male suspect was tall with a slim build and dark short hair and was driving a white Ford F-150. The female suspect was short with a slim build, had short blonde hair and tattoos on the left side of her chest as well as on her right arm, and drove a grey Kia Sportage. Both vehicles had stolen license plates on them at the time.

One of the males used a firearm to steal items from the driver, and the males then fled the area.

The Arborg RCMP received reports of break & enter to the Meleb Bell MTS tower site. On separate occasions several gel batteries were stolen in a short period of time. The batteries are used as back up power, in the event of an outage, to keep the cellular network on line. They are labeled as ENERSYS Power Safe SBS-190F, orange in color and weight approximately 130 lbs each. If the cell tower is without backup power, there could be serious or possibly life-threatening consequences during an emergency.

On July 8th, 2021, around 4:30am, Portage La Prairie RCMP responded to a theft in progress at a business located on Highway 1. A male suspect was observed starting a garden tractor and attempting to load it onto a utility trailer. The theft was stopped by a security officer and the suspect fled. On March 9th, 2021, at 11:20pm, emergency services responded to a structure fire at a residence on School Road in Elie, Manitoba. A detached garage/shop, located approximately 30 yards from the residence, had been broken into and was intentionally set on fire using an accelerant. A Dodge truck with a trailer attached was parked outside of the garage and had obscenities scratched into it, was vandalized with spray paint, and sustained fire damage. The shop was secured by a metal gate with a padlock, which had been cut with a mechanical tool by the suspect(s).

On April 6th, 2021, a theft tools and other miscellaneous items occurred at St. Malo Provincial Park. Consequently a male suspect attempted to fraudulently use a fleet card at the Grunthal Coop. The male can be seen on video footage wearing a black jacket, beige pants, red gloves, black sunglasses, black shoes and a blue and red Blue Jays baseball cap. He has a noticeable limp while walking and was driving a black Chevrolet Aveo.

On March 18th, 2021, at approximately 1 o’clock in the morning, a female suspect approached a vehicle at the drive-through ATM located at the Noventis Credit Union in Ashern and demanded keys to the vehicle. The suspect claimed to have a gun, though no firearm was produced. The victims were able to depart without injury, and the suspect fled on foot.
The female suspect is described as being in her 20’s, 5’4″ tall, 150lbs, with blonde hair. She was wearing a long brown and gold-colored jacket, and had a face mask on.
On March 4th, 2021, around 1pm, a 17 year old male was attacked in Lorette by 4 unknown suspects who attempted to steal his wallet and assaulted him in the process. The suspects took off in a white 4 door car with BC license plates. Two of the suspects have been arrested and RCMP are still looking to identify the other two individuals. Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify one of the unknown persons in the photo.

On March 6th, 2021 at 8:30 AM, a theft occurred at an apartment building in Lorette. Two unknown males were able to gain access to the building and stole two black tool boxes/cases along with a set of golf clubs and a Garmin GPS watch.

On January 19th, 2021, just before 11:30pm, a dark coloured SUV with a light bar on the roof attended Roblin Ford and stole an exhaust off a Ford F350. In the process, the wiring harness was cut, causing extensive damage to the truck.

Over the last several years, RCMP have been investigating an ongoing issue of mischief which is occurring in the RM of Ritchot along Highwy 200 where unknown suspect(s) are dumping hundreds of nails on the roadways. The most recent incident reported was on February 14th, 2021, on Highway 200, and then again on February 22nd, 2021, this time on Highway 59 in St. Malo. The type of nails vary but most commonly large roofing nails are used.

On November 26th, 2020, the Roblin Ford dealership was broken into and a large amount of seasonal tires were stolen. The suspect vehicle appears to be a silver 3/4 ton Dodge pickup truck with a darker lower panel and possibly has after market rims.

On February 1st, 2021, the Manitoba Hydro compound in Melita was broken into, and a substantial amount of copper wiring was stolen, along with some tools and a bright orange winter suit with reflective striping. On February 9th, 2021, the same compound was broken into again and more copper wiring was stolen. That same night, the Melita Bus Garage was also broken into and a mig-welder stolen. Video surveillance from several businesses in the area shows an individual wearing Manitoba Hydro’s bright orange suit, driving a dark gray Toyota sedan with no front license plate looking around their properties.

Sometime between December 12th and 21st, 2020, a residence near Elkhorn, Manitoba, was broken into and several items were stolen, including a 2009 Arctic Cat 800 snowmobile. The snowmobile has unique markings on it.

On November 19th, at approximately 2a.m. a Bobcat Skidsteer trackloader was stolen from a construction site located near Ile des Chenes, Manitoba. Surveillance on site showed a dark colored Ford F-150 driving around before the crime occurred and was later seen hauling the stolen machinery on a trailer.

On October 1st, 2020, at 12:45pm, an unknown male wearing a dark coloured jacket walked into BMO Selkirk Branch and attempted to withdraw $7000 without any bank cards. The male presented to the bank teller what appears to be a fake BC driver’s license and SIN card with the name Jean Michel BASLEY on them. The suspect appeared to be in his 40’s or 50’s and was wearing a medical mask but appeared to match the picture on the license. When the bank teller entered the client name on their system, an alert came up informing the teller that the client may be a victim of fraudulent activities. The suspect was unable to answer some follow up security questions, and ended up leaving the branch without the BC driver’s license and SIN card.

On August 26th, 2020, at approximately 9:45am, the Niverville Credit Union on Main Street in Landmark, Manitoba, was robbed. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with light coloured eyes, approximately 30 years old, with an average build. He was wearing a full hazmat suit with an air ventilator mask and carried a clipboard. The suspect left in a white Hyundai Elantra.

On October 15th, 2020, at approximately 11:30pm, a male attended to a residence on Delorme Drive in St. Adolphe, Manitoba, and lured an adult male out of the house and into the driveway where another suspect was hiding. The two suspects then repeatedly stabbed the victim with a machete and a knife, leaving him seriously injured. It is believed the suspects fled in a vehicle.

Sometime between September 11th and September 18th, 2020, approximately 50 tones of canola was stolen from a property in the Kaleida area. The theft would have required at least 2 semi truck loads and would have taken a few hours to load.

On July 8th, 2020, at approximately 12:30 in the morning, the Lakefront School in Crane River Settlement was broken into. Video surveillance showed 3 suspects had entered the school and broke approximately 20 windows, stole at least 15 school laptops from the classrooms, and discharged a fire extinguisher inside the school, causing extensive damage.

On July 26th, 2019, Kendara Ballantyne, was reported missing to The Pas RCMP Detachment. The last time that family members saw Kendara alive was in The Pas, Manitoba, around July 1st, 2019. Kendara’s body was located by members of the Bear Clan on August 6th, 2019, behind the University College of the North in The Pas.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Kendara’s death, and are requesting the public’s assistance in piecing together Kendara’s whereabouts and activities in the weeks prior to her death.

On August 24th, 2020, at approximately 7:15 pm, a fire was deliberately set to some boxes on a deck attached to a residence on 1st Street NE in Erickson. The fire spread to the side and roof of the home before being extinguished.

On August 10th, 2020, just after 2:30 in the morning, the ‘Y Not Johnny’s Restaurant in Swan River was broken into.
Video footage shows that an unknown male pried the patio door open, entered the building, then immediately fled on foot after setting off the alarm.
Sometime overnight between July 28th and 29th, 2020, unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the Peguis Development Corporation office, which is attached to the Band office, and stole a safe which contained some cheques and some cash. It is believed the suspect(s) used a stolen master key to enter the premises.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., on May 21st, 2020, the Eriksdale Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the McMunn & Yates Building Centre in Eriksdale, MB. The entire building and all of its contents was completely destroyed. The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner has determined the fire to have been deliberately set.

Sometime between 8:30pm on June 11th, and 10am on June 12th, 2020, a trailer with a skidsteer on it was stolen while it was parked on the shoulder of Provincial Trunk Highway 8 in the RM of St. Andrews.
The trailer was black, and the skidsteer was a 2014 yellow Caterpillar 247B3.

On April 16, 2020 at 10:20PM, Thompson RCMP were called to Grey Wolf Bay, in Thompson where a live puppy had been found in a garbage bag inside the dumpster. Thompson RCMP are asking the public for any information that would identify the owner or the individual responsible for putting the animal in the dumpster. Police are seeking any information that may assist the investigation into this cruel act of animal abuse.
Sometime between April 9th and 11th, 2020, a 2005 Honda CR250F dirtbike was stolen from a location in Rhineland Municipality. The bike is red with a dent in the exhaust pipe and the rims are two different colors, the front one being silver and the rear one black. The VIN on the vehicle is JHE10276M100310.

On Saturday, February 1st, 2020, at 6:05 pm, Fisher Branch RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on West Road approximately two kilometres north of Highway 17 in Peguis First Nation.
Officers located the victim, a 52-year-old male from Peguis, on the roadway who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. It is believed the victim was struck by a northbound vehicle.

On Sunday, February 2nd, 2020, a male attended to Walmart in Selkirk and stole a large amount of DVDs, Blu-Rays, and jewelry. He was confronted by a staff member who was then assaulted by the suspect. The suspect is described as being in his late 50’s, Caucasian, approximately 5’7” tall weighing 220lbs, has long grey hair and a long grey/white beard, wearing a camouflage jacket and blue jeans.

On Saturday, November 16th, 2019, shortly after 4 o’clock in the morning, the Fisher River VLTs were broken into by 4 individuals who then stole Bingo cards and cash. The suspects appeared to be 2 large males and 2 smaller males or females, and they gained by prying open the front doors with crowbars.

On December 24th, 2019, at approximately 10:15 in the morning, a vehicle was hit while parked at the Selkirk Liquor Store on Main Street. The suspect vehicle appears to be a white Chevrolet SUV, and the driver was an elderly Caucasian woman wearing glasses, a beige toque, dark winter parka, carrying a purple/pink coloured purse. The suspect was seen exiting her vehicle, looking at the damage she caused, and then walking into the CIBC bank and the liquor store.

On Saturday, January 25th, 2020, around 12:30 in the afternoon, patrolling RCMP members noticed a house on fire in the Mission Point area of Cross Lake. The house was still under construction and is completely destroyed by the fire. The investigation is ongoing and police are requesting the public’s assistance.

Sometime between 6-8:30am on September 2nd, 2019, an ATV that had been parked on the side of the road in Duck Mountain in the RM of Minitonas-Bowsman was stolen. Tire tracks suggest it was driven away from that location. The ATV is a 2004 Suzuki Eiger 400, camouflage in colour.

A push mower and another bicycle, not belonging to this victim, were left behind by the suspect(s).

Suspect 2 – Male, Indigenous in appearance, red hat, multiple tattoos on right side forehead and on both cheeks

Video surveillance captured two Caucasian males, who gained entry by smashing a window, stealing a small amount of cash. The suspects appear to be in their early 20’s in age and both have a thin build.

On Sunday, October 13th, 2019, at approximately 7 o’clock in the morning, two male suspects broke into a diner in Oak Bluff, Manitoba. They gained entry by smashing the window on the front door. Once inside, they stole several bottles of alcohol.

On Saturday, August 17th, 2019, at approximately 2:00am, a male suspect dressed in dark clothing stole a rare and unique Cannondale Scapel FI mountain bike from a residence in Niverville, Manitoba. The suspect was seen approaching the residence on foot and making off with two bikes.
On Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019, at approximately 9:45pm, an older dark and dirty Nissan pick up truck was involved in a motor vehicle collision involving another vehicle. The collision happened eastbound on TransCanada Highway 1 and Provincial Road 248. Both vehicles pulled over, however the driver in the Nissan left before information could be exchanged. Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect. He is approximately 35-45 years old, Caucasian, medium build, and has brown short hair.

On January 2, 2018, at 10:50 pm, Dauphin RCMP were dispatched to a house fire in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue SW in Dauphin, Manitoba. The Dauphin Fire Department was on scene when officers arrived and were able to extinguish the fire and keep it from spreading to the surrounding buildings. The two occupants of the house escaped the fire with minor injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment. Surveillance video showed 3 people each toss molotov cocktails at the house.

On May 21, 2019, Stonewall RCMP were called to a property on Road 81 N in the Rural Municipality of Rockwood, Manitoba on a report of a theft of property. Investigation revealed an older beige and red coloured CASE 930 Tractor with cab and front end loader attachment was stolen from the property. It is unknown at this time who or how they stole the tractor.
On June 2, 2019, Stonewall RCMP were called back to the same property on a report of a theft of a travel trailer. Police attended and received information that a 24-foot AERO white travel trailer had been towed away from the property by a black Chrysler Aspen SUV.

Between Sunday, June 23 and Friday June 28, 2019, unknown suspects broke into a property at Lake Shore Heights (near Balsam Bay). Two dirt bikes along with riding gear and other property, was stolen from the location. The two bikes are a 2016 Suzuki DRZ 125L and a 2010 Suzuki ORZ 70, both yellow.

On Sunday, May 12th, 2019, around 10am, a lone male in a vehicle was involved in a theft of gas from Fas Gas in Carman, Manitoba.
The vehicle was an older model Honda Accord 4 door, gold or brown in colour, with a sunroof. The driver was described as male, Caucasian, 30 years old, slim build. Vehicle had two different licence plates on at the time, front and rear were not matching.

Sometime overnight between Wednesday, May 8th and Thursday, May 9th, 2019, a garage at a residence on Broadway Street in Miami, Manitoba, was broken into and a 2004 Arctic Cat 400 DVX was stolen. At the time of the theft, the ATV had Manitoba license plate 8G438 on it.
