On April 10, 2025, at 1:26 a.m., The Manitoba First Nations Police in Opaskwayak Cree Nation were dispatched to the area of the 20-plex in Big Eddy for reports of a single gun shot. Police observed a single shotgun blast through a door. The suspects were last seen running towards Mcgillivary Boulevard in Big Eddy.
